Keep it fresh
Mix and match cabinets is another way to keep the look fresh and not go down the moody hues look. Copper key features such as tap design works with this colour.
Don’t want to darken a room too much? The same effect can be achieved by painting halfway up a wall as in this living room. You can still get the impact whilst keeping it fresh.
Take it moody
Dark blues work particularly well in classic, panelled interiors such as period properties with grand fireplaces and dramatic, high ceilings. This space can carry colour!
The kitchen (above) has dramatic, dusky blue cupboards which are on-trend this year. We’ve designed several sets for deep blue kitchens so keep an eye out. You can either go deep and moody, or add bold colour to offset the blue.

This month I’ve been looking at muted pastel hues which are set to be seen in different trends across the world of interior design for 2017, including the Terracotta and Desert Escape trends. These muted pastel hues are great because they have a natural base which allows them to work as a collective or as a basis with a diverse pop colour. Why not grab a brew and a biscuit, sit back and relax and enjoy our latest VLog!
Wednesday, November 16, 2016By bringing natural materials into our home we add a connection to a lifestyle that celebrates and embraces nature and its unique imperfections. Below are some of our favourite examples.
The skylight in the Oak Shaker kitchen is divided by textured wooden beams and exposed sandstone, creating contrasts with the slick finish of the painted plaster. What we choose to expose and hide creates an interesting commentary for any contemporary kitchen.
Mixing materials doesn’t always require contrasting textures. The matt doors, matt walls and semi-matt floor tiles combine the same texture but still allow to stand out in the kitchen. The use of one grey hue ties the look together. To keep update with our latest trend alerts by joining our mailing list.

It’s always hard to say goodbye but today is especially difficult as we wish Bon Voyage to Jal, our Head of Creative. Her enthusiastic input was relentless, constantly perusing interior design trends and delivering with great commercial judgement.
Jal’s off across the seas for new adventures in India, soaking up the cultural influences and exotic lifestyle.
Heeley will step into her tiny size 4 shoes, leading our styling and creative
CGI team. With over 20 photographic years in the KBB industry Chris is
well known to a lot of our clients and as Set Visions' Art Director and MD his
creative understandings and insights are second to none.
Wishing you all the best Jal from everyone at Set Visions. Don’t be a stranger!
