In-House Style Direction

Our in-house creative team are vital to creating consistent, visually striking imagery. Overseen by our Head of Creative, Nina, this trend led service is included on all our projects - keeping Set Visions and our clients a step ahead of the competition.

Symphony, one of our long standing clients, teamed up with Laura Ashley Kitchens to launch the Hardbury Kitchen range and invited Nina to come along to the launch. Nina’s involvement in the project was instrumental to the style direction, ensuring all concepts fit within Laura Ashley’s brand guidelines. Nina was delighted to present her concept on the trend direction and the tactile finishes used in the project to major retailers at the exclusive preview.

From Photography To V-Ray

V-Ray Chaos group set visions

Chaos Group, the market leader in render engine supply, recently covered Set Visions’ unique story of our transition from studio cameras to CGI imagery, and the part their render engine, V-Ray, plays in producing exceptionally photorealistic CG renders - perfect marketing content for our clients.

It’s wonderful to be appreciated by such an industry leader and thanks to Danny, our Technical Manager, for taking time out of his busy schedule to take the interview.

The Age Of AR

AR can deliver near photographic 3d visuals to scale in your own home. The recent converge of technologies makes AR a commercially successful proposition, from a huge improvement of broadband and recent strives in live rendering. With the introduction of Apple’s new operation software and soon to be launched Google App demonstrates AR is viable and here to stay.

interactive home shopping ar app

This technology will soon be built into every smart phone and tablet offering a virtual reality experience which can be exploited by e-commerce retailers to visualise any home or DIY product in a shopper’s home. It only requires those retailers to make the quality 3D content available in their customer’s journey to deliver this amazing shopping experience to the prospective customer.

If you’d like a demo or to just like to find out more don’t hesitate to give Chris Leonard a call on 01274 610600.

Engage with your online customers

Video content is vital to engage with online customers. Video is a great channel to explain unique tech and design features that aren’t necessarily common knowledge or visible. Design features are often the tipping point for a customer to click the ‘Buy Now’ button, lifting your product above the competition. The challenge for our in-house team is to make the content both engaging and informative.

Our video department, Motion, strategically plan every animation to keep videos short and educational whilst informing the customer of all the benefits in one place. This eliminates the need for further information searching, retaining the viewer’s attention and more importantly their purchasing decision.

A recent project has seen us complete a range of such CGI animations that does just that for Hisense, simply explaining their high-tech fridges and TV’s in a way the customer can relate to. These CG videos show that not all fridges are made equal - therefore giving the customer a more informed choice and confidence in the brand and product.

New Year. New Faces.

2017 was an industrious year for our CGI department. With a full production schedule for the foreseeable, it’s time for our Pix to team expand. Set Visions would like to welcome our newest members Jo and Leo. Some of our clients may have already met Jo, our newest Senior Project Manager. She’s seamlessly fitted into the team with her background in Creative Design Management. She’s very hands-on and already integral to the production team.

Secondly, we’d like to introduce Leo from the Pix team. Leo came to use via a recommendation through Huddersfield University’s Product Design department. Leo impressed our team with his thorough approach to 3D assets and team tasks. It was a pleasure to ask him to stay on a full-time basis as our newest CGI Artist.

We would like to wish both Jo and Leo good luck and hopefully you’ll beat our longest serving staff member challenge of 23 years!

Unique Location Photography

Unique location photography is a perfect way to create a buzz around product launch. A recent project saw our Capture team adapting their photography disciplines from the studio to a fantastic industrial location.

Our international client has used the imagery to promote their commercial launch of surface design, bridging creativity and product practicalities. Our team worked alongside Camira fabrics to develop the creative imagery to run alongside their existing brand strategy.

Everything from location scouting to the editorial art direction was managed in house by our team. Following the successful location shoot, the images will be used in the Surface Design Spotlight at Surface Design Show.
