A great brief came through to our Capture team recently: produce product photography for a children’s storage range that showcased their fantastically playful product, making sure the imagery was perfect for their e-commerce site, social sites and any print media. Our client was eager to push their online business forward with our professional imagery.
Our in-house stylists designed a playroom in complementary soft pastel shades with key props to support the lifestyle feel. Our photography team continued the soft, tactile art direction with natural lighting whilst throwing the background out of focus drawing the eye to the hero product.
To control costs the team utilised an existing room set in our studio, and with a nifty lick of paint and crafty reconfiguration we gave our client a bespoke look at a budget friendly price. Our team also delivered supporting product cut outs on white creating additional content for marketing. It was also a pleasure to have the clients on set to bag a couple of social media shots for future release.

Clerkenwell Design Week is an award-winning innovative design festival held over three days attracting the cream of the design industry. Nina, our head of Styling, made her annual trip to research and absorb key design insights and developments for the creative community.
Design consultation is included in our project costs, passing on our industry knowledge to your photography so your bespoke content is on trend and hits the right brochure and marketing platforms. We also produce commissioned Trend Reports for our clients that forecast across imagery, video and social media trends. This will put you ahead of your competitors and strengthen visual guidelines.
Here’s the rundown of Nina’s legwork visiting exhibitions, specialist installations and show rooms whilst catching up with some of our clients.
With the trend for wellbeing growing in strength the emotive topic is well established with the design world. Environmentally conscious design encourages designers and consumers to take responsibility with recycled materials such as Terrazzo or vegan material alternatives or even low emission products. This is a subject matter is very close to our stylists’ hearts and championed at HQ.
Again, this is a topic our Stylists directly influence at HQ - a happy employee is a productive employee! By refining a space, bringing in foliage and an inspirational décor our team are more focused in our creative meeting spaces. With the traditional office structure becoming an outdated concept we need to focus on productivity rather than the 9 to 5 grind.
Pastels have a subconscious calming affect with soft earthy tones having a touch of spring and rejuvenation. The positive colour palette was highlighted on all surfaces from wall murals, Terrazzo worktops and fabric prints at Clerkenwell.

A recent project completed for one of our long-standing clients saw our Project Management team seamlessly coordinate the logistics of our CGI team, Interior stylists, Models, Photographic studio team and post production. The result is a set of 14 images that are perfect for brochure and social media content.
Our stylist worked directly with Fabric Box marketing team to understand the design concepts behind their fabric designs and product range. Together they designed the unique environments with our team making sure the interior design trends, the CG architectural detailing and propping supported their product; ensuring the focus is on the contemporary blind designs.
The second phase of the project was to select and photograph models in our in-house photographic studio. These were then edited together by our post production specialists, resulting in ultra-real CGI images. Shooting models interacting with CGI props can be a technical challenge. As our production team strive for photoreal images they ensured the technique was perfected!
These images are perfect for marketing content, adding more value to our client who can use the renders for brochure, online and social media. Our clients have also ‘future proofed’ their shots by using CGI our CG artists can revisit at any time easily updating the images when the latest product ranges are released passing the saving back to our clients.

Our experienced CGI Project Mangers work with agencies, marketing teams and product managers delivering photorealistic renders on time, to brief and to budget. Approached by a Manchester agency our CG team were asked to produce a set of bespoke kitchen designs that showcased the new range cookers for Stoves.
The key brief to Set Visions creative team was realism, natural lighting, lifestyle and product focus. Shoot The Moon wanted our images to deliver their concept and illustrate the lifestyle the Stoves products offers. Our CGI had to sit alongside Shoot The Moon’s in-house studio photography, supporting the marketing strategy they specifically designed.
The above images were created specifically for the web, designed to be used as a split screen. These were secondary shots, taken in the same scene as the main images. CGI is easily adaptable - meaning product changes or camera angles can be addressed at any point, saving time and money on set build compared to traditional photography.
A cost-effective benefit for this project was having the manufacturing CAD files provided. This eliminated our modelling costs and saved the supplier the hefty delivery of two large range cookers. All our supplied 3D files are treated very sensitively, with an NDA available for all our clients.

Set Visions Technical Director has invested in cutting edge, next generation server technology to maximise our team’s production output.We’ve expanded the capacity of our CGI virtualisation by putting 20 processing cores to good use. Our new storage array has been specifically designed for heavy access from multiple users while still providing strong resilience against hardware failure.
The team constantly keep ahead with security employing encryptions and firewalls. In addition to protecting the network from intrusion they also provide excellent monitoring and reporting tools, allowing you to see things that are otherwise invisible. Our firewall helped us spot a bottleneck on the LAN that was costing us precious hours of slower production.
Our new storage array is now performing at 4 times faster than any single drive on its own meaning a less stressed Production Manager, faster saves, shorter production times, a happier CGI team and more importantly, happier clients.

Our in-house creative team are vital to creating consistent, visually striking imagery. Overseen by our Head of Creative, Nina, this trend led service is included on all our projects - keeping Set Visions and our clients a step ahead of the competition.
Symphony, one of our long standing clients, teamed up with Laura Ashley Kitchens to launch the Hardbury Kitchen range and invited Nina to come along to the launch. Nina’s involvement in the project was instrumental to the style direction, ensuring all concepts fit within Laura Ashley’s brand guidelines. Nina was delighted to present her concept on the trend direction and the tactile finishes used in the project to major retailers at the exclusive preview.

AR can deliver near photographic 3d visuals to scale in your own home. The recent converge of technologies makes AR a commercially successful proposition, from a huge improvement of broadband and recent strives in live rendering. With the introduction of Apple’s new operation software and soon to be launched Google App demonstrates AR is viable and here to stay.
