in-house stylist team analyse and interpret global trends translating them into
everyday, achievable styles. A recent studio project with one of our
long-standing clients saw us use the botanical trend to give their product a
fresh, modern look.
The client’s release of their new tile
range had to reflect their ethos of a contemporary product that works within
the home. We designed a space that could
lend itself to changing with trends, with a modern kitchen and tile choice in
tones that can easily adapt to several styles within the home.
Plants are very on trend right now with
botanicals, jungle prints and the statement cacti popping up all over. The team added a little jungle vibe with
linens and crockery, then brought fresh green colours through with other
displayed pieces. Finally, adding the
succulents and ferns for that extra botanical touch.

CGI is a cost-effective communication tool for
housing developers, property marketing and interior designers. Working from elevations and material samples
our in-house team can construct a set of photorealistic images that accurately
represent a space before construction starts.
This creates perfect marketing collateral to help build interest and
Location, scale and context impose no restrictions as we work
with developers to show the visual impact of a space and its surroundings with
detailed architecture and textures. Multiple
shots of a spaces can be taken, be it day or night, exterior or interior to
give a true feel of a development.
Our vast library of materials makes transforming an ordinary
space into an environment of carefully considered interior design at the simple
click of the mouse. The CGI artists add in slight
imperfections to ensure our CGI images truly are representative of reality from
textured copper to the lustre of marble.
Another advantage of CGI is the animation walk-through
service we offer. This is great to help
prospective buyers understand the scale of a plot and recognise how the space
will work for them. Simply get in touch with the team at

year we have been working with blue shades through a range of products and
trends, it’s safe to say we know how to take that colour tone in many
directions. Opting for a darker shade in a space adds drama and impact,
but with the right lighting it can also be made to feel warm and cosy.
Keep it fresh
Mix and match cabinets is another way to keep the look fresh
and not go down the moody hues look. Copper key features such as tap
design works with this colour.
Don’t want to darken a room too much? The same effect can be
achieved by painting halfway up a wall as in this living room. You can still
get the impact whilst keeping it fresh.
Take it moody
Dark blues work particularly well in classic, panelled
interiors such as period properties with grand fireplaces and dramatic, high
ceilings. This space can carry colour!
The kitchen (above) has dramatic, dusky blue cupboards which
are on-trend this year. We’ve designed several sets for deep blue kitchens so
keep an eye out. You can either go deep and moody, or add bold colour to offset

Visions Motion department creates video content that sells. Our
creative team of art directors, videographers and CGI animators work together
across multiple disciplines to produce informative and instructional videos
suitable for web, instore and social media.
This latest animation had to answer two specific briefs. The first was
to work with and without sound to be an informative selling tool to be shown in
store to trade and public. The second use is social media, illustrating brand
style with instructional use. Our project manager worked closely with the
client to present the story board, gain product knowledge and coordinate Set
Vision’s in-house team.
Our Motion graphic designs are crucial to momentum and timing of this
informative video - key straplines are strategically timed illustrating primary
benefits of the product. The animated CGI video was designed to be easily
adapted. By updating the product and key strap lines to fit similar items in
the product line we have created a cost-effective solution for our client.

The Set Visions team
love an innovative photography challenge.
Our Capture team worked alongside one of our long-standing clients who
has a rich design and manufacturing history where colour tones and design is
key for each collection. Our client
pride themselves on the use of colour, with this shoot embodying the raw fibres
and explosion of colour; emulating the dye process.
The final piece is one large installation created by
strategically placing each fibre as though floating through mid-air. The image was successfully used across
multiple media platforms in the UK and was key in their display at Neo Con in
the US. Check out the behind the scenes
sneaky peek video to see the creative process!

This year has seen natural materials coming to the forefront of interior
design and homeware design.
Soft, light bleached woods, with natural
wood grain running throughout.
New Nordic Naturals is all about the
fresh natural aesthetic within design.
Wood cladding and feature wall
pieces are undoubtedly coming back. There’s also a strong stylised
reappearance of wooden cabinets in kitchen design, but with more up to
date tones such as the lighter Nordic hues.
Natural wood 'shelfies'
Natural wood can be brought in to a room in various ways. For instance,
using tiles and wood flooring as a room base. Mix up the tonal woods
with wooden propping and weathered textures for contrast.
Exposed shelving is still hugely on trend, I’m sure you’ve seen
‘shelfie’ posts on social media. Style up your wooden shelving with
tonal propping and textures, and include a few plants for a natural
Bathrooms for 2017-18 are certainly getting more attention, often the
last place to get a thoughtful makeover. Why not try the light wood
tones here? Such as this design using wood tiles to create a feature
wall. Perfectly offsetting the white ceramics in the room.
Just go for it! With this kitchen design we went for it with the
bleached wood tones. Using it on the floor and walls to create a serene,
flowing space. Propping kept muted and stylised with whites and light
greys, plus hints of wood which evokes that Scandinavian touch.

on a new Lux range of fabrics 'Touch' and 'Vintage' our photography team
created still life shots that play with composition and texture whilst
showcasing the new fabric range. Warn antique mirrors and lush textures were key
to mix the juxtaposition of luxury and antique which in turn represents the
fabric collection. The final imagery will be out in the next month but in the
meantime, these behind the scenes shots will be a tease to the unveiling!

finishes to add a touch of luxe.
How to style up this
• Layer black on black to create a dramatic moody feel.
