Here’s to a somewhat smoother year than recent. As ever, we are thankful for the resilience and dedication of our team. Without them, we wouldn’t have had such a successful year.
As brands are looking to build an authentic connection with their customers, we’ve seen a continuing rise in AR and online interactive projects. It’s been a pleasure to recruit additional CGI staff to meet the demand of this engaging service.
This year’s new client wins mean our order book is quickly filling up for a strong start to 2022.
Set Visions offices will be closing at 5pm on Thursday 23rd of December, reopening and production ready on Tuesday the 4th of January.
Our thoughts turn to those customers who have made our success possible. From all our staff you chat to, to my colleagues behind the scenes we’d all like to wish our customers a Happy Christmas and best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to do what we enjoy.

CG visualisations have long been an alternative choice for interior designers and product marketers. As an established photorealistic studio, we’ve seen an increase in requests for running water in our imagery. The tactile material adds another level of realism in CGI visualisations.
Our CG team challenged the creative use of this technique, combining the organic fluid to our own festive contest; what is your take on a Set Visions Christmas?
Our team put a merry twist on the Set Visions logo, using the phoenixFD plugin to simulate the fluid for a well known classic Christmas pud’. Rendered using V-Ray, our animation short is a great demo of our team’s creativeness and technical abilities.
No food waste and an engaging story to tell!

To let off some creative steam, we gave our CG team an open Christmas
brief; simply show us your take on Christmas! Keep your eyes peeled over
December on our blogs and social media to see the unique entries. Some design
focused, some whimsical and some slightly sinister…!
Here's a selection of entries from the team.

Our in-house R&D team is tasked with testing the latest CGI, AR and animation software. As a visualisation studio, we continuously push expectations to remain at the forefront of photorealistic renders.
Here’s a great example of our Studio Lead putting his technical skills to the test, rendering a technical festive treat.
"I created the animation to test the exciting recent release of Blender 3.0. Using Pixar's USD format to transfer assets over from 3ds Max, I used the new cycles X render engine, and the GPU to provide a much more interactive, artistic process. With huge speed increase, taking just a couple of hours to deliver the end frames for this animation on a single machine"
