The big news this season is that we recently became part of the Ride Shotgun group, a brand activation, creative, strategic and production agency with offices in Leeds, Sheffield, London and Portugal.
Alongside an expanded tech dev team and with the complementary strengths of Ride Shotgun this means we can now jointly deliver bigger and better projects and offer a full end-to-end brand journey for customers.
We’re really looking forward to the wide range of exciting new projects this will mean and to working with our new Ride Shotgun colleagues.
A FOUND FESTIVE FAREWELL
On a sad note, our Chairman Graham Nelson has retired and will be much missed by the entire Set Visions team. He brought a great sense of humour and camaraderie to the business and was famous for his awful morning meeting jokes. Always the consummate professional (on occasion…) Graham cared deeply about his staff and the company.
We wish him the very best in his retirement.
CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS
The studio will be closing for the Christmas break on Thursday 22nd December and will reopen for business on the 3rd of January.
We wish everyone a restful Christmas break and look forward to more adventures with you in 2023. A huge thank you to all our fantastic staff and to all our brilliant clients, who give us the reason to do what we love doing every day of the year!

As part of the Ride Shotgun group, we can offer our immersive 360 environment tours as part of a unique strategy, design and production service offering under one roof.
Benchmarx boasts over 150 branches, yet with when Covid-19 restrictions came into force that all-important store footfall was suddenly massively reduced.
They needed a way to replicate this experience and maintain traffic to their website. Benchmarx needed an interactive solution to build brand engagement that wasn’t a quick-fix gimmick, but rather something that would showcase the premium nature of Benchmark’s kitchen range in a highly credible and engaging way.

Our existing client came to us with a great challenge; design and create a series of cost-effective images for their entry-level kitchens. The competitive market is geared at the entry-level consumer and the buy-to-let market with a critical focus on young and trend-conscious customers.

Sold in-store ‘off the shelf and online all the visuals needed to work within their broader marketing strategy down to the in-store POS.
To maximise the visual output, our CGI teams created three basic room sets that could accommodate several kitchen layouts, Galley U, Shaped, L Shaped and Utility.

By repurposing each scene, we created 40 unique kitchen images of varying interior design trends and scenarios with an average production time of 1 day per scene. This strategic plan maximised our output whilst being budget-friendly.
The results? 4 core kitchen room sets with 75+ revisions in total!

Have you considered using AR (Augmented Reality) on your e-commerce site to stand out from your competitors? Research has shown that over 45% of people questioned would be interested in augmented reality tech to see how products could look in their home.
WHAT IS T?
AR allows online shoppers to preview potential product purchases in their own homes. With no plugins or downloads, the software works seamlessly with any browser on any modern smart device.
This immersive shopping tool boosts shoppers' confidence in their product selection. By providing your customers with in-depth product information, the technology builds consumer trust in your brand and, in turn, reduces product returns.
Major retailers like Amazon, Wayfair, and IKEA are embracing the technology.
Now is the time to explore the possibilities and keep ahead of the curve before your customers begin to request them.
Road test the technology yourself following our QR code to try it on your smart device.
Set Visions are specialists in producing AR product files; our facilities are designed for volume and speed.
Does your studio lack the resources? We'd happily partner with your creative team to produce photorealistic lifestyle CGI product shots alongside AR product files to boost your eCommerce presence.
For a free and informal consultancy on how to improve your e-commerce strategy, simply contact the studio to arrange a call or in person meeting.

We have exciting news from the studio, something we are proud to announce: Set Visions is now part of the Ride Shotgun group.
Ride Shotgun is a brand activation, creative and production agency. Bringing our CGI team in-house complements their current offering of strategy and innovative production services. The group has placed our CGI studio at the forefront of large-volume content production, interactive and AR production services.
Set Visions co-founder and Managing Director Chris Heeley will continue with Ride Shotgun as Digital Production Director and says joining Ride Shotgun will allow us to continue to push boundaries and challenge creative production methods.
Chris said: "The fast pace and blurring lines of multi-channel marketing requires a collective approach, and Ride Shotgun's in-house strategy keeps us fluid and reactive to developing technologies.
Set Visions ways of working remain the same, and all the knowledge of your business and brand are carried with our team into this exciting new phase for us all."
Based in Leeds, Sheffield and London, Ride Shotgun have an excellent reputation, supporting brands across categories such as home and leisure, beauty, FMCG, and finance.
Catering for photography and video, their production facilities span across 30,000 sq ft in Leeds, plus their sunny site in Portugal. Location is a breeze for the team, regularly shooting and filming in the UK and Europe.

Gone are the days of stark kitchen designs; realistic family
living has firmly taken its place. Here we took inspiration from the modern
shaker doors, taking a fresh approach to classic design.
Introducing coloured kitchens is no longer a taboo move. A
soft blue mixed with subtle brushed brass detailing brings a sophisticated look
to this open-plan space.
Ceilings can sometimes be overlooked. Here we made it a
design feature, adding cladding with a shadow gap to give a designer feel. This
approach to considered design follows through into the bullnose worktops and
modern classic stools and furniture.

How to style up this look.
- Consider the design details to keep the scheme modern
- Utilise open shelving to display your eclectic wares
- Brushed brass and marble detailing elevates the scheme
- Invest in modern classic furniture

Are you a 3D modeller who loves a low poly count challenge and is a stickler for detail? Are you experienced in producing photo-real, detailed and accurate 3D models?
Set Visions require a 3D modeller to join our CGI production team based in Bradford, the North of England. We need someone with at least two years of industry experience who can hit the ground running. The successful candidate will have a mindset for accuracy and practical knowledge of CAD design software. The role will include producing 3D content in both parametric modelling packages and poly modelling workflows.
We have a unique brand of photorealistic CGI. We combine traditional photography techniques with the latest CGI technologies to create the most realistic alternative to traditional photography in the marketplace.
Our client list ranges from blue-chip companies to independent retailers and global marketing agencies. Not one brief is the same.
Required skillset
• Assess, optimise, refine and correct supplied client 3D files.
• Create and manipulate 3d models from drawings or samples.
• Follow our guidelines, asset naming conventions and other technical constraints.
• Management of our digital asset library.
This position is a hybrid working role. We have embraced home working and have excellent communication protocols in place. In return, we offer an excellent salary and a working culture that values staff development. We have a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline that will flex and test your skills! Salary negotiable on experience.
If you are interested in the role, send a short introduction, your CV and your portfolio of examples of excellent visual and technical ability to jobs@setvisions.co.uk.

Set Visions render automation service produces endless product visualisations quickly and cost-effectively. Our bespoke service provides essential content for e-commerce retailers and product configurators. Colours and finishes can be quickly changed, with interior design updates to match.
1000s of product combinations are rendered automatically driven by our bespoke production code. The software uses spreadsheet data when connecting to our render manager, distributing the tasks to our render farm. By removing manual input, we can reduce the unit costs for our customers.
Ecommerce is a highly competitive market. Savvy online shoppers are turned off by low-res swatch shots, and the infamous phrase "also comes in..." Our service helps convert your online shoppers to purchase with our high-resolution product images.
The volume rendering service is a brilliant solution for product configurators or creating an 'asset bank' for multi-channel marketing campaigns, with fresh visuals every time.
To discuss how our batch rendering and configurator service can improve your eCommerce offering, contact sales@setvisions.co.uk to arrange a friendly, informal call or in-person meeting.
